You have just checked everything the night before that big event – outfit, hair, and foot-wear – all checked and perfect! But wait, what’s that bright little spot teasing back at you in the mirror? Is that a pimple? Hell! No! In no time, this bright beacon of embarrassment overshadows all your excitement and confidence you had for that big date or that much awaited job interview. Has it ever happened to you?
While, for some of you pimples might be a rare occurrence, let me confess, many of us including me are not that fortunate. Even though I boost of having bright glowing skin for most times of the year, pimples for me seem to have developed a mind of their own ever since I had my worst break-out some 7-8 years backs in Mumbai.
They lie in wait calculating the worst time to break out and burst my mind into frenzy by spoiling all my special events! It’s like a constant battle; my skin has to fight to keep itself clear and bright from this biggest beauty disaster. So when, this time the ugly little zit appeared again on my right cheek, I decided enough is enough, it’s time to win the war and put an end to this frequent struggle.
For most of us with oily/combination skin, we never know which pores can get clogged next and hence we struggle to fight the unexpected onslaught.
So if we really want to win the war over pimples and acne, we must stop looking for spot treatments and start taking preventive measures to avoid their very occurrence in the first place.
No matter how effective your spot treatment is, treating the lesions is not sufficient if you want to have clear smooth skin all year long. And for this, you need to consistently use the right products that keep your pores clean, clear, and free from getting clogged. Use oil-free moisturizers and make-up products that don’t clog pores. Since, the cause of acne is sebum, dirt, bacteria and impurities, washing face regularly with a cleanser that fights all these causes of acne proves to be the best bet.

My Experience with Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash
It’s been nearly 2 months I’m using this face wash morning and evening and I must confess my skin has not shown even a single sign of zit, pimple, oiliness, greasiness or even dullness. On the contrary, my skin seems to be coming out of its sensitivity shell and becoming more resilient and resistant day by day.
Now whether, it’s due to the weather or neem in this face wash only time can tell, as this face wash happens to be the only change in my skincare routine. The product comes in a white and green colored tube packaging with a flip-open cap. It has a gel consistency and is lemon-green in color.
The soap-free formula with neem leaf extract and tea tree oil claims to beat pimples with its three-pronged approach of fighting bacteria, clearing impurities, and removing excess oil or sebum from the surface of the skin.
It has a pleasant herbaceous scent and lathers really well on the skin. I can sense my skin feeling super clean and silky-smooth after washing. Where most cleansers for oily and pimple prone skin tend to make the skin dry, I found this Garnier pure active neem face wash to be quite gentle on the skin while being tough on impurities.
Also, despite using this face wash in cold weather my skin does not feel dry, stretchy or flaky or washing with this face wash.
So the cleanser has really worked for me. And it has helped me in maintaining my clear radiant complexion for long.

Overall, I found Garnier pure active neem wash to be quite true and consistent with its claims. It really does help in preventing break-outs and maintaining clear skin. However, if you have really bad or problem skin prone to either extreme dryness or pimples, the product may not be suitable for you.
It is best suited for normal to oil/combination skin prone to occasional break-outs, blackheads, or pimples.
