The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Eau De Cologne Review
After sending my son off to school this morning, as I sat down to enjoy my favorite cup of black cardamom tea, I realized it was pin-drop silence. Even the branches of the tall eucalyptus tree in the garden opposite our house, swayed quietly in the breeze (The house was all buttoned up of course)! But it seemed to me from inside the room, as if someone has just turned on the ‘mute’ button of a reality show starring me!
But then, my mother-in-law came thundering from the back door carrying a bucket-full of laundry in her hands, thud-thud-thud! Manish magically appeared from the washroom, flushhhhhhhhhhh! And baby girl got up from her deep slumber, “Mumma! Mumma! Mumma! Mumma!” Then maid washing utensils, cooker full of porridge whistling on gas stove, milk-man sneezing and ringing the door-bell, ding-dong!
Now adding to that every other little noise that makes up the background music of our house, I just couldn’t help but wonder – was the silence I’d heard just a few moments ago ever real at all?
Whether it was real or just a figment of my imagination, what I am craving now is a ‘sigh for relief’ – a few days of carefree ‘me-time’, where I have nothing to do but read and relax – with no one to disrupt or steal my precious moments of calm and stillness. And since this does not seems to be a likely possibility in near future, all I can do now is spray The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Eau De Cologne all around me.
Why Fuji Green Tea Eau De Cologne?
Because I love the way I feel when I wear this blend of citrus, green tea and jasmine – the fragrance almost immediately takes me to the beach among tropical flowers and vast peaceful ocean. Last year, I spent nearly two weeks in Goa and I absolutely loved every minute of it, in spite of all the tomfoolery my kids created during the entire trip.
A whiff from The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Eau De Cologne and I can’t help but get flashbacks of the long green grassy lanes, tea on the golden sand, and notes of jasmine coming out from lush waves. The brand says the fragrance is inspired by the Japanese Green Tea ceremony to detox and replenish the body and soul.
Rich in antioxidants
Green tea is full of high quality antioxidants, enzymes, amino acids, and minerals, caffeine and polyphenols, all of which have a powerful revitalizing effect upon both body and mind. The tea leaves used in The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Eau De Cologne have been hand-picked from the pristine Mount Fuji region of Japan, which is well-known in the world for its invigorating green tea.
Perfect blend of green tea, citrus, and jasmine
While, I felt the scent to be a little tea-ish in the beginning, it was great to find the crisp notes of bergamot and lemon quickly take over the initial tea-ishness. And from there it transitions into a fresh mix of green tea, tropical fruits, and flowery bouquet before lazily drying down to a “light and crisp classic scent for daytime sophistication”.
The fragrance lasts for a good 4-5 hours, after which it starts to fade out.

If you like green tea and tropical flowers, you must give this scent a try. Do stop by The Body Shop store the next time you take a trip to the mall. Another green tea scent that I find beautifully refreshing for the season is Dove go fresh deodorant with green tea and crisp cucumber. I picked it up on random but found its light refreshing scent great for everyday use.
I love this range. The fragrance is refreshing and amazing.
Best part is, it contains green tea and I’m a sucker for anything to do with this caffeinated beverage!
I have used this range all throughout summer last year and it is one of the lightest and calming fragranes I own! Lovely review 🙂
Thanks dear. I’m thinking of trying the body wash and body lotion too from this range.
I really liked the article..i will definitely give it a try. 🙂
