Oh winter,

How much I hate you – you’re just so damned cold and dark!

For a while a there, you had me totally under your curse – locked up in my room, snuggled inside the quilt with nothing much to do but brood over the darkening days.

Now with sun shining in all its glory – thank God, I’m totally over you.

Valentine’s is past, birds are back, leaves are green – ah, welcome to spring!

I am a fragrance person and I love using distinctive scents when the seasons change. And so to welcome spring I have bought this orange scented Satsuma Body Polish from The Body Shop Satsuma range because it just seemed so fresh and springy to me.

My Experience with The Body Shop Satsuma Body Polish

The fresh fragrant formula with micro abrasive beads successfully erases all my memories of dark winter and refreshes my spirit with color and scent of delicious spring. The product not only smells good but works well too – thanks to cleansing and moisturizing ingredients like walnut shell powder, Satsuma oil, and honey.

Packaging:

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Polish Review

The Body Shop Satsuma body polish is packaged in a sumptuous, see-through plastic tube with white cap. The tube packaging makes you worry-free of dropping the product in shower, which I often do!

Texture and scent:

The Satsuma body polish from The Body Shop comes in a gel base liquid with micro abrasive beads. It is bright orange in color and has a zesty citrus fragrance. The orange scented shower gel feels very fresh and summery to my nose.

Cleansing, Moisturizing and Exfoliating:

As mentioned earlier, the body polish is loaded with cleansing and moisturizing ingredients. The shower gel makes rich cleansing foam and the crushed walnut shells gently exfoliate the skin. Organic honey lightly moisturizes the skin without leaving any sticky residue. Rinsing off, my skin feels squeaky clean, smooth and baby soft.

Good:

  • Cleanses and moisturizes skin well
  • Great for daily gentle exfoliation
  • Leaves skin super soft, clean and smooth
  • Very refreshing shower gel for summers
  • Contains sunscreen, making it all more good for summer use
  • Effective bath product for removing tan
  • Transparent tube packaging makes it easy to use and enables you keep track on the quantity left

Bad:

  • Very highly priced but so are all The Body Shop products
  • Contains chemicals, not a natural product as mislead by the brand

R2B Rating: 4/5 (-1 for high price and presence of sulphates)

Overall Take:

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Polish Review

Overall, it’s a wonderfully refreshing shower gel for summers that not only cleanses and moisturizes but also exfoliates the skin. Zesty orange scented shower gel elevates the spirit and micro abrasive beads leave skin radiant and baby soft.

If you don’t mind the price, The Body Shop Satsuma body polish is a great summer shower gel worth considering. As for me, I have *Oranges* on my mind right now, so I’m going to squeeze some in my Orange juice machine and enjoy the refreshing drink while relaxing under warm spring sun.
