Girls, who read my blog regularly, know I’m a die-hard sun-lover (read, Sun-screen lover!) and a great fan of Kaya Skin Clinic products. Indeed their prices are steep and claims are high but they are also one of the few skincare lines in India that keep up to their promises.

So picking up Kaya Sunscreen with SPF 15 for my daily use came as a natural choice to me. Even if I’m not going outdoors, I prefer to slather myself with a light SPF 15 lotion as part of my daily morning skincare ritual.

And being a sunscreen addict, I’ve tried several sunscreen lotions with SPF 15 for my daily use. Some are either too matte to absorb well or some are too sticky for my oily skin. However, after using Kaya sunscreen consistently for two months, I’m happy to state that it has overcome both these issues with its quick-absorbing, light-weight formula.

Thank-God-It’s-Friday – I’m really feeling the need for some end-of-the-week beauty catharsis.

As I sit typing this sentence, I notice that my heels are scalier than the skin of an alligator! Hell no – I missed several of my important beauty rituals this week. And pedicure being the most significant of them all.

While, it shouldn’t be much of an issue but being genetically predisposed to dry skin, I sometimes get it worse than other girls. And if you too fall into that category, you probably need all the moisturizing help you can get.

Thank God to all the amazing foot creams, you don’t always have to rely on a pedicure to get sandal ready feet. Of course, no foot cream can give you photogenic tootsies in an hour – that’s where the power of a pedicure lies. But at least a good heel repair cream or foot cream can give you presentable heels in a couple of day’s time.

So I reached for the tube of Himalaya foot care cream, lying virgin on my bathroom shelf from last few weeks (as if only waiting for this *big day*to prove its appeal for my moisture hungry feet) with high hopes.

It’s been almost five months now that I’ve been using Patanjali Kesh Kanti line of hair cleansers. My craze for Patanjali shampoos started, when I bought my first bottle of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Natural hair cleanser for brittle, falling hair without any expectation from the brand/shampoo to work, but was totally amazed with the results.

The shampoo worked on my dry, brittle hair and oily scalp better than any reputed drugstore shampoo or professional salon product. How was your weekend, girls?

Mine was, enlightening – learned a new lesson – that it’s not a good idea to watch horror movies late in the evening, just before going to bed. Last night was spent all awake, praying, with lights on, just to ensure the Demon from ‘The Conjuring 2’ does not suddenly resurface and starts haunting my home and life!

Anyways, watching a horror film in theater that too late in the night had long been on my list for ‘to do adventures for 2016’ and I’m feeling victorious to finally achieve it!

Another “Eureka” moment I experienced in 2016 is – I can wear moisturizer in the peak of summer on my super oily skin – lesson learned – sometimes, an oily complexion is due to dehydrated skin and all you need is an oil-free moisturizer that balances the skin’s natural levels to remedy greasy skin.

However, finding the best moisturizer for oily skin isn’t as easy. You have to kiss a thousand frogs before you finally find the perfect one suitable for your skin type and condition. A bright future!

Despite all the fuss going on in the present moment, I really DO think the future appears shining.

Last two weeks were crazy. I was depressed, disorganized and overwhelmed with the number of things on my platter. So I reached for my personal journal, grabbed my favorite color pens and started scribbling. I scribbled and scribbled until I got rid of all the clutter and felt the flow of fresh emotions.

I’m an emotionally driven person and whenever I feel any sort of hiccups or bad energy, it interferes with my ability to think, talk or take any rational decisions. In other words, I become irrational. But this activity helps me clear my mind and feel good about myself and the things around.
