I’m still an amateur when it comes to proper eye makeup. I don’t really go beyond the colored eye pencils and liners to try something new and different. So when, my hubby brought this Maybelline eye shadow quad in Wine Pink, I was a little reluctant to try it, even though I loved the shades!

The Story Behind:
I am a recent fan of colored eye pencils. So when I was hanging around aimlessly in a shopping mall, where my hubby was trying t-shirts, I was automatically drawn to the makeup counter of the mall. Despite, drowning in a pool of different eye color pencils, shadows, and liners, two polite girls from Maybelline counter succeeded in convincing me to buy two of Maybelline Eye Studio Vivid and Smooth Liners in Peacock Green and Maroon shade.
I am going to review the shade Peacock Green in this post. Although, the name of the shade is nowhere mentioned on the packaging. I tried the shade last week-end on an evening out with hubby and friends.
My first ever November 2013 Vellvette bag/box arrived today. I simply can’t hold my excitement! And so I logged in to share my pleasure! So far, I had only read reviews of vellvette box products on other people’s blogs. Today, I got my own!! Its’s a cute satin pouch, hot pink in color with black polka dots. Loved the color combo with pink being my favorite color. Small size and satiny texture make this perfect to carry around as your travel make-up kit. Cheers to Vellvette!
Now about the contents. Theme of this month’s vellvette bag is ‘Band Baja Beauty’. Though, the contents are no where near the theme except for the Eye Shadow palette, I found them to be okay, neither great nor bad. The Story Behind:
By launching the country’s first CC Cream in India, Lakme has once again proved that it is the market leader in Indian skincare and beauty industry. When I first learnt about the entry of BB Creams in India, I got really excited. All my excitement, however met with disappointment, when most BB Creams from various cosmetic brands failed to fulfill my expectations of a ‘Blemish Balm‘. Some were either too oily and some were either too expensive.
But the problem with most BB Creams in India is that there are a very limited number of shades available. Infact, two of the major beauty brands in India, Ponds and Garnier have come up with only one shade of BB Cream for all skin colors! I was still on the look out of a perfect BB Cream, when Lakme introduced its CC Cream in India.
