Sadhev Ayurvedic Facial Cleanser Normal-Oily Skin Review

I don’t know where the last three months went.

Had been so occupied with a foreign trip, festivals, and then a family wedding that I lost all my sense of the thing called ‘time’. Can’t believe it’s December already – the last month of the year!

But thank God – finally a few really easy days ahead of me! And so I’ve decided to structure them around the idea of recharging my batteries and catching up on things like reading books, enjoying drinks with friends, and of course taking care of my skin.

Talking about skincare, I’ve finally found an excellent face wash – Sadhev Ayurvedic Facial Cleanser Normal – Oily Skin. As far as I can remember, I’ve always had oily skin issues. Back in my 20s and 30s, foaming face washes containing harsh ingredients were my only go-to cleansers.

Don’t let this scare you because they did a pretty good job of removing all the oil from my face and making my skin feel fresh and clean. Fast forward to 2022, which is as recently as only a year ago, foaming cleansers have stopped working for me.

Not that my oily skin condition has changed over the years but my skin has somewhat gotten on the drier side. I do get pimples now and then. But those miracle products that used to save my skin back in the day, now make my skin feel dry and tight.

So lately, I’ve been using this Ayurvedic goodness – Sadhev Ayurvedic Facial Cleanser Normal – Oily Skin to wash my skin. And believe me, my skin has never felt so good over the months.

Sadhev Ayurvedic Facial Cleanser Normal-Oily Skin Review

Sadhev Ayurvedic Facial Cleanser Normal-Oily Skin Review

What it is?

A facial cleanser made up of powerful Ayurvedic ingredients to deeply cleanse the skin, reduce oil secretion, and prevent acne.

Who is it for?

People with normal to oily skin, acne-prone skin, combination skin, or anyone looking for a gentle cleanser to get rid of oily skin and pimples. And yes, particularly good for dull, sensitive, and mature skin.

What’s in it?

Bakuchi Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Green Tea Extract, Licorice, Nutmeg Oil, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, or AHA’s

What’s not in it?

Petrochemicals, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic colors, artificial fragrances, additives, and other synthetic substances.

How does it smell?

Fragrance-free.

How’s the texture?

Lush and lotion-like.

How do I use it?

AM and PM.

Squirt out two pumps of the product onto my palms and massage it all over my face and neck. Wait for a minute before washing it off with tepid water.

What’s good about it?

This is an amazing soap-free cleanser that has good proven organic actives like Bakuchiol, Sea buckthorn oil, Green-tea, etc. along with AHAs. Put together the mix is a magical formula for oily, combination, and trouble-making skin.

  • Bakuchiol acts like a natural retinol
  • Sea buckthorn oil has amazing anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and anti-acne properties
  • Green Tea Extract is a powerful antioxidant
  • Licorice is a well-known brightener
  • Nutmeg oil helps reduce dark spots
  • Finally, the Alpha hydroxy Acids help remove dead skin cells promoting cell regeneration

What’s not so good about it?

Nothing really. Convenient packaging, and excellent ingredients. The only problem I see with this product is its lack of availability among local retailers.

My Experience with Sadhev Ayurvedic Facial Cleanser Normal-Oily Skin

Praise the ‘creator’! Finally, an Ayurvedic cleanser that I can get on board with.

Before this most of the natural and Ayurvedic products, I’ve tried in the past either lacked the necessary science to bring about effective results or were laced with too overpowering scents. This is a lovely fragrance-free Ayurvedic cleanser that does what it says on the box.

Undoubtedly, this is about the closest I could get to a cleanser with powerful brightening and anti-acne actives while being gentle on the skin. So, if you’re like me with acne-prone combination skin, looking for something to wean you off your traditional foam products, this is it – much more gentle but still effective.

I started using this in November. And I have had maybe only 2 small/minor break-out episodes since then (touch wood). I have been off night creams for the last few months. My skin can’t handle the heavy-duty stuff anymore.

So, besides this cleanser, a niacinamide toner, sunscreen, and a basic moisturizer are all I’m using. And my skin has never felt so soft and fresh over the months. It’s clean and clear without feeling tight and dry.

Would I purchase/repurchase?

Yes.
