Dove Body Love Supple Bounce Body Butter Review

If you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while you know how much I adore Dove products. From shampoos and conditioners to body washes, lotions, and body butter, Dove produces quality products I feel confident using.

And if you were to take a trip to my shower, you would find all my bathroom shelves and counters buckling under the weight of a mountain of Dove goodies. Dove Supple Bounce Body Butter is the newest addition to the mix, and here’s my review of the same:

Dove Body Love Supple Bounce Body Butter Review

What it is?

A plant-based, heavy-duty body moisturizer for dry skin.

Who is it for?

Anyone experiencing dry, scaly skin, or in my case, anyone who likes a good daily body moisturizer that leaves your skin feeling as soft and smooth at the end of the day as it was after application in the morning.

What’s in it?

Water, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Petrolatum, Stearic Acid, Capricicaprylic Triglyceride, Glycol Stearate and Stearamide Amp, Dimethicone and Dimethiconol, Peg-100 Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Acrylatesic10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Camellia Sinensis Leaf and Sunflower Seed Oil.

What’s not in it?

Phthalates, Parabens, and other toxic chemicals.

How does it smell?

A mild floral scent that fades away quickly.

How’s the texture?

Even though it is called body butter, the formula looks and feels like whipped cream. It has a soft and fluffy consistency and mousse-like texture.

How do I use it?

Slather all over my body immediately after the bath for soft, well-hydrated skin.

What’s good about it?

A lot.

It’s affordable – INR 360 for a 245 g tub especially since it feels and performs like a rich body cream.

It’s a super moisturizing formula that helps keep my dry skin under control.

It’s a lightweight, non-sticky, non-greasy formulation that can be used year-round and by all skin types.

It’s lightly scented so even those with sensitive noses like me can gladly use it.

It’s easily and readily available in all stores both local and online.

What’s not so good about this?

Girls with extremely dry skin conditions like eczema and also those with excessive oily, acne-prone skin may like to skip this one and rather opt for products precisely suited for their skin conditions.

Other than this, can’t think of any.

My experience with Dove Body Love Supple Bounce Body Butter:

I love it. It absolutely keeps my dry skin under control, especially during the winter months, when most of the body moisturizers I’ve tried to give up the ghost after only a few hours of application.

Dove Supple Bounce Body Butter seems crafted for winter dry skin. It even helps keep my scaliest parts shins, heels, and elbows – soft, smooth, and ash-free for a good 24 hours.

I also like the way, the whipped cream-like texture absorbs into the skin in a jiffy. While no hard feelings for body butter that take longer to massage into the skin but I prefer the ones that take the least amount of my time and effort to apply on a daily basis.

Especially during the cold winter months when the bathroom floor is freezing, the last thing I want to do is spend 15 more minutes in there rubbing lotion into my skin!

And lastly, the price point at which it sells, Dove Body Love Supple Bounce Body Butter is a steal deal. Go grab!

Would I purchase/repurchase?

Yes.
