With temperatures dipping day by day outside, it’s tempting to turn your quick morning showers into long hot water bathing rituals. But as tempting and relaxing hot steam baths feel on the body, they are harsh and harmful to skin. Within just 10 minutes of a steaming bath, the heat from the hot water start ripping your skin’s lipid barrier or the precious layer of moisture.
So does that mean you compromise on your pleasure by turning down the heat or shortening your bath time? If you ask me, I hate compromising for things that make me feel great! And why should I do that, especially when there are so many good replenishing body lotions out there in the market! So while, the weather outside and steam inside your bath can be harsh to your skin, your soap and body lotion shouldn’t be. Continue reading
