Sara Herbals Radiance D-Tan Face Mask Review

Hello wonderful people!

Hope you are having a good Monday! As of me, I’m trying my best to resist Monday blues with a product update from one of my BFFs, who is also R2B’s new Social Media Manager.

Girls, meet Manisha Arora – social media junkie, die-hard foodie with a special love for makeup and beauty! So the product I’m going to review today is d-tan face mask bought and used by her lately – Sara Herbals Radian D-Tan Mask for oily and blemish prone skin.

Brand’s description of the product:

“D-Tan Mask suitable for oily or blemish prone skin helps in lightening while giving an even tone on skin. It is enriched with botanical extracts for skin radiance. Enrich with Eucalyptus and camphor oil.”

Usage instructions:

Cleanse face gently with a cleanser or face wash. Apply the mask evenly all over the face and neck. Let it stay undisturbed for 15 minutes. Wipe off with a damp wash cloth dipped in warm water.

Sara Herbals Radiance D-Tan Face Mask ReviewPrice:

INR 315 for 100 g (It’s available for INR 280 currently at the brand’s official website)

Packaging:

Sara Radiance D-Tan face mask comes in a rubbery red plastic tube with a flip open cap. The packaging looks cute, is convenient to use, and travel-friendly.

Texture:

Sara Herbals Radiance D-Tan Face Mask ReviewThe face mask is white in color and has a thick creamy texture. The scent is mild with gentle minty notes.

She liked the scent and found the texture of Sara Herbals d-tan face mask to be quite similar to that of Pond’s White Beauty cream; as in both products have similar spreadable consistency.

Rather than penetrating deeper into the skin as expected of a good face mask, she found this face mask to simply sit on top of the skin refusing to budge or move.

Sara Herbals Radiance D-Tan Face Mask ReviewPerformance:

Following instructions carefully, my friend applied a thin layer of Sara Herbals Radiance D-tan face mask all over her and neck carefully after washing her face with a foaming face wash. However, soon after application, the mask started stinging on her skin.

There was a mild tingling sensation that quickly turned into stinging feeling. My guesses: the stinging could be due to the presence of Eucalyptus and camphor oil, which are known to cause a tingling sensation.

Not having the nerves to bear the stinging feel of the product, my friend removed the mask just after 4 minutes of application! After removing the face mask, she did not notice any change in her skin tone. There was no magical de-tanning (Shoot!). No skin brightening effect (Bummer!)

Her skin looked the same just like it was before using the face pack. Quite understandable – given the time she allowed the mask to work on her skin! Talking of the brighter side, the face mask did not cause any break-outs or other bad reaction such as redness or drying of the skin.

Also, the experience was neat, compared to messy go through for most DIY and other clay masks and face packs.

Some other good things about Sara Herbals Radiance D-Tan Mask:

  • Cute red travel friendly tube packaging
  • Mild minty fragrance
  • Contains natural organic ingredients

The downsides of this radiance d-tan face mask by Sara Herbals

  • Does not spreads easily
  • Does not penetrates deeper into the skin
  • Causes strong tingling and stinging sensation
  • Does not cause any de-tanning or brightening of the skin
  • Not sufficiently hydrating and nourishing to the skin

R2B Rating: 2/5

Final words on the product:

Overall, Sara Herbals Radiance D-Tan face mask is just an average face mask that does nothing great for the skin. It’s supposed to clear tanning and brighten the skin tone but my friend didn’t notice any change to her skin tone. On flipside, it stung on her skin!

However, you might like this face mask, if you’ve oily to combination skin and prefer face masks that provide a neat wearing and removing experience.

But if you’re looking for a good brightening face pack, Sara Herbals D-Tan mask is certainly not the right choice; you can visit the cop cart for excellent suggestions. In fact, the good old DIY curd + besan face pack gives much better results than this so called radiance brightening face mask!

  1. Thanks for the honest review… I was intrigued by the radiance and d-tan claims. But it looks like pretty average mask not worth the price.

Thank you for such a wonderful article dear and from my side I want to say that i am using best hydrating facial mask from long and its really effective. A healing facial mask for dry, chapped skin, SheaMoisture’s Raw Shea Butter Facial Mask gently clarifies skin while intensely hydrating and promoting moisture rebalancing.
