Microblading Eyebrows what you should know

The beauty industry is a huge one estimated to grow to about USD 805.61 billion in value by 2023. It is a multi-faceted industry with different components that make it up. One thing that is gradually growing in popularity is microblading which we will talk about in some detail here.

For years, women and some men have relied on blades and other such devices to trim and shape their eyebrows. We can see here how it is done. The only issue is that this requires constant retouches as the hairs grow back and the carefully trimmed shape gets disfigured. This made eyebrow shaping something that has to be done over and over again.

It now appears that this no longer has to be so. Enter microblading!

What is Microblading?

Microblading Eyebrows what you should knowThis is a beauty treatment technique that much resembles tattooing. It is used to create the illusion of any kind of brow type and shape that you want. If you decide that you want a lush, full brow, microblading can be used to create this look and it will be semi-permanent, meaning that you will not have to reshape your brows every now and again. You will only require a touch up about 6 months after the treatment. There is, of course, the possibility of another touch up (or more) being required the longer it stays on.

How Long Does it Last?

This treatment is said to be able to last between 1 and 3 years. Remember that it is like a tattoo and so the ink or pigment used will fade over time. There are a number of factors that will affect how long it will last. Some of these factors include the quality of pigment (or ink) used, the level of exposure to the ultra-violet rays of the sun, skin type, skincare routine and a couple of others.

What Are its Benefits?

There are a whole lot of benefits that this beauty treatment offers. A few of them include:

Durability

Like we stated earlier, this is a semi-permanent procedure that lasts between 1 and 3 years. You can imagine a brow job that lasts that long. It generally reduces the stress involved in having to constantly trim and shape the brows. Your brows will look great even if you’re just getting off your bed in the morning.

Permanence

Imagine taking your bath, engaging in strenuous workout sessions that leave you sweating profusely, and your brows still remain perfect. That’s what this treatment offers. It does not smear or smudge. It stays fresh.

Faster Makeup Time

We all know that most women take a lot of time getting ready whether for work or a special outing. One of the things that take time is shaping the brows. With this process, the need to shape the brows is taking out of the equation, reducing the general time it will take to get ready and rocking.

No Pigment Colour Change

When the colour has been chosen, you should not be afraid of this colour changing. It will only begin to fade after a while (and that’s after a long while) necessitating a fresh treatment or touchup.

Great Option for Those with Skin Diseases

Those who have skin diseases or other conditions that have resulted in the loss of their natural hairs can enjoy a good look with this. This gives them a very natural looking brow so they can go about their business without feeling uncomfortable.

Painless Treatment

The treatment is practically painless. Usually, the area is numbed before treatment commences so this eliminates the possibility of you feeling any serious pains.

Safe

The process is very safe especially if you get your treatment from professionals. You should NEVER allow a non-professional to perform this treatment on you. If you live in the UK and you want to know where you can find professionals, use a UK Microblading Directory to ensure you are working with a professional. This is the only way to ensure the process will be totally safe.

Are There Any Disadvantages?

We will conclude by touching on some possible disadvantage or rather things to watch out for or to be aware of when you go to get this treatment. This process is safe, but no one can tell you that it is 100% safe for the following reasons.

The Ink Used

There is no form of regulation for these pigments or inks. It is, therefore, a possibility that a certain ink can react unfavourably with your skin.

The Instruments Used

Though the process is largely non-invasive, there are still light incisions that can lead to infections if the instruments are not properly sterilized.

The Technician

This is the person on whom most of the possible negative effects is hinged. This again is why you must only work with a certified professional. Working with the wrong person can open you up to the issues mentioned above and more.

This is a great treatment and solution for today’s beauty conscious individuals. With proper care and the right professionals, you will enjoy the best that is has to offer.

  1. In terms of the ink used the place should always do a patch test to see if you are having an allergic reaction. Apart from that microblading seems like an easy way to have flawless brows.

it is not without problems I am sad to say. i had a very light microblading job done by an experienced blader (she had been doing it for years and did careful mapping), but she never discussed pigment types with me. my dark brown blade strokes are now orange 1.5 years later. not sure what to do.

My favorite part of your blog is when you said that shaping the brows can take a lot of time, and this can be eliminated by microblading. For a woman like me who cannot go out without having my brows fixed, this will surely be helpful. Having my eyebrows done takes me more than 30 minutes every day, so it will make sense for me to consider the benefits of permanent eyebrows.
