What….makeup in skincare?

Yes. When it comes to flawless looking skin, dermatologists at Kaya Skin Clinic say, you can have it all!

Kaya Skin Clinic’s CC+ Complexion Perfector Cream with SPF 25 is supposed to make most of your beauty dreams come true – from colour correcting to protecting your skin to brightening and evening out your skin tone over time.

I spotted it at their clinic’s counter last year, when I visited them for my regular facial service. Finding the product description super amazing, I couldn’t resist swatching the testers on the back of my hand – they felt fabulously light-weight, giving a totally sheer coverage with a brightened look to my skin.

The CC Cream comes in two shades – Ivory and Honey. I swatched both and found Ivory a good match for my fair skin tone. So without further ado, let’s get straight to the day’s product review.

How do you use it?

Dot a coin sized amount all over the face and neck. Gently blend it with fingertips in upward and outward direction. Depending upon the requirement or occasion, it can be worn alone, under a foundation, or over a moisturizer.

How much does it costs?

INR 990 for 30 ml

What’s good about it?

It smells beautiful – strongly of the typical ‘Kaya scent’, which I personally love. The texture is very light-weight and feathery. Shade Ivory is a very light beige colour with a hint of peach undertone. The colour suits my pale complexion perfectly and disappears quickly without leaving any residue or residual tint that needs blending.

It almost amounts to wearing nothing, while making everyone feel like you’re having a great skin day! No wonder, for me it’s one of the cc/bb creams I reach for regularly, especially when I desire to look good sans the feel and heaviness of makeup.

While, the black and gold fibre bottle packaging may have a wintery look to it, Kaya Skin Clinic’s CC+ Complexion Perfector Cream is better suited for summer weather. The matte finish locks down shine without being too harsh. Pores appear smaller and skin looks even toned with a healthy glow to it.

What’s bad about it?

Okay, at INR 990 for 30 ml, Kaya Skin Clinic’s CC+ Complexion Perfector Cream is definitely on the higher side of the price scale for most drugstore BB/CC creams in the market.

Second, it’s not moisturizing enough for my skin. It always looks and feels better, if I’m wearing a moisturizer underneath.

And finally, the coverage of this product is sheer to bare minimum. Kaya Skin Clinic’s CC+ Complexion Perfector Cream fails miserably in providing a decent cover for someone with fine lines, wrinkles and blemishes.

R2B Rating: 3.5/5

The bottom-line:

Designed and developed by dermatologists at Kaya Skin Clinic, Kaya’s Complexion Perfector Cream gives you benefits of skincare in a perfect makeup finish. It’s ideal for those girls, who don’t really wear a lot of makeup or face products and just want a little boost to their complexion.

Nice and detailed review. The price seems to be on the higher side, but Kaya products are always good…

I have used this as well – at that point it was available in just one shade. While it is a decent cc cream I really don’t think it is worth the rather very price tag
